Stored Product Pests
Stored (food) product pests such as pantry (meal) moth or (granary) weevils can infest a variety of stored products, particularly foods such as grains, cereals, dried fruits, seeds and nuts, making the food unfit for human consumption.
An infestation is generally started when contaminated food is brought into the food storage area. Both residential and commercial stored foods can be at risk.
How we treat and manage Stored Product Pests.
Firstly, you need to identify and remove the source of infestation.
If an issue persists we will complete a treatment specific to the pest.
Ongoing monitoring is recommended for food storage areas or areas that may be perceived to be an issue and include;
– Insect lights and traps
