Proactive Pest Solutions had the privilege of presenting at a Rotorua Sustainable Charter Member Showcase
 – alongside fellow members Rivers Catch and WaiNot Natives Nursery

It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how our approach protects people and property whilst respecting the natural environment – providing insights on how pest control can be both effective and have an environmentally responsible approach.

During our short talk, we highlighted several key points:

  • The importance of sustainable pest management across all property types – whether for homes, businesses, lifestyle blocks, or rural properties, taking a proactive approach helps prevent infestations before they start.

  • Balancing effective pest control with environmental care – PPS takes great care to minimise any potential impact on non-target species, including native species, pollinators, and the wider environment whilst managing pests effectively.

  • Supporting the sustainability journeys of others – from businesses aiming to reduce their environmental footprint to homeowners seeking peace of mind with safe and responsible pest management and those who want to encourage native species to thrive on their property.
  • Promoting hygienic and a pest-free environments – maintaining properties free from rodents, insects, and other pests helps protect property, people and health, while keeping spaces clean and safe.

We enjoyed engaging with other local businesses and exchanging ideas on how sustainability can be integrated into everyday operations.
